What are the benefits of Early Intervention?
Addresses developmental delays or disabilities in children as soon as they are identified, improving their cognitive, language, motor, and social-emotional development, which can set children up for greater success later in life and significantly improve the long-term developmental outcomes.
Empowers families with tools, strategies, and education to support their child's growth and development in their everyday routines and activities. This strengthens the parent-child bond and helps families feel more confident in their ability to meet their child’s needs.
With early support, children are more likely to develop the skills needed to lead more independent and fulfilling lives, which can reduce the impact of disabilities as they grow older.
Assists families in the transition process to preschool services and placements including special education services if needed at the child’s third birthday.
